HOW AUCTIONS WORK

  1. Users must have a valid payment method on file. This can be set in the My Account page.
  2. Your payment method may be authorized for each and every bid you place. Learn more here.
  3. All auctions begin with a length of 5-10 calendar days.
  4. If a bid is placed in the last 5 minutes of an auction, the auction is extended so there is 5 minutes remaining from the time that bid is placed. There is no hard stop time for an auction.
  5. Domains registered outside of Sav include a free domain transfer in (1-year additional registration). The domain may take up to 10 business days to arrive in your account.
  6. Expired Auction Domains registered at Sav include a free 1 year renewal.
  7. Minimum bid increments are as follows:
    $1-$99.99: $1
    $100- $499.99: $5
    $500-$2,499.99: $10
    $2,500 – $9,999.99: $50
    $10,000 and up: $100
  8. Sav will automatically proxy bid on your behalf when a bid more than the minimum required bid is submitted.
  9. Once the auction is complete, we will immediately attempt to charge the highest bidder’s payment method to complete the auction. If the payment does not go through for any reason, we will attempt to charge the same payment method up to two times, two days part. If the same bidder is unable to complete the payment for a won auction more than once, they will be restricted from placing any new bids.
  10. Sav reserves the right to modify these rules at any time for any reason.
  11. Sav reserves the right to take any action it deems necessary to prevent fraud, maintain stability or correct system issues.

Domain Auction FAQ

What is a premium domain name auction?

A premium domain name auction is a process where high-value domain names are sold to the highest bidder. These domain names are usually short, easy to remember, and have high marketability, making them highly sought after by businesses and investors.

How do I participate in a premium domain name auction?

To participate in a premium domain name auction, you need to register with the auction platform and place a bid on the domain name you’re interested in. You will need to provide your contact information, payment method, and other details required by the auction platform.

What factors should I consider when buying a premium domain name?

When buying a premium domain name, consider the relevance of the domain name to your business or industry, its branding potential, its memorability, and its marketability. You should also research its search engine optimization (SEO) potential, traffic history, and any existing trademarks that may impact its value.

How do I determine the value of a premium domain name?

The value of a premium domain name is influenced by several factors, including its length, relevancy, brandability, and market demand. You can use domain appraisal tools to estimate the value of a domain name or consult a domain name broker or consultant for a more accurate valuation.

What happens after I win a premium domain name auction?
